Originally built in 1866, Holy Cross Priory was the site of one of the first care homes of the Grace & Compassion Benedictine Sisters.
Their work began in Brighton in 1954 and spread to the small village of Hassocks in 1959 from where they moved to Holy Cross Priory in 1964. Since the opening of our purpose-built care home in 2012, the historic Priory has been beautifully transformed into a collection of elegant leasehold apartments and comfortable guest suites.
Whether you reside in one of the private apartments onsite or within the care home, you are warmly invited to enjoy the shared spaces and exceptional facilities of this remarkable building.
