Choosing the right type of care for yourself or a loved one is an important decision, and we’re here to make that process as clear and supportive as possible.
At our care home, we provide both residential care and nursing care, each designed to meet different levels of need while ensuring comfort, dignity, and peace of mind. This page explains the difference between the two, so you can feel confident about which option best suits your family’s situation.

Residential care is designed for people who may no longer feel confident or safe living on their own but do not need regular nursing support.
What does residential care include:
- A beautiful private room and access to an array of shared living spaces.
- 24-hour support from trained care staff.
- Help with personal care, such as washing, dressing, and taking medication.
- Freshly prepared meals and snacks, tailored to dietary needs.
- A programme of social activities, hobbies, and outings.
- Housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.
- Access to our wonderful grounds and facilities
Who is it for:
- Older people who would benefit from companionship and a safe, supportive environment.
- Those who may have limited mobility or mild health conditions but do not require full-time medical care.
- Individuals who would like day-to-day tasks taken care of, giving them more time and energy to enjoy life.
Nursing care offers everything included in residential care but with the addition of round-the-clock support from qualified nurses. This ensures residents with more complex health needs receive the medical attention they require.
What does nursing care include:
- All the services of residential care (meals, personal care, activities, and housekeeping).
- 24-hour care from registered nurses, supported by trained care assistants.
- Regular monitoring of health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease, breathing difficulties, swallowing difficulties or wound management.
- Administration of medication, injections, or other treatments.
- Specialist care for residents recovering from illness, living with long-term conditions, or needing end-of-life care.
- Close communication with GPs, hospitals, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Who is it for:
- People with ongoing medical conditions that need regular monitoring or treatment.
- Those who may be physically frail or require significant support with mobility.
- Residents who need specialist or palliative care.
Whichever type of care is right for your loved one, you can be assured that:
- We create a personalised care plan tailored to each resident’s needs, preferences, and routines.
-
Families are always welcome and encouraged to be part of daily life, special events, and care planning.
-
Our aim is to provide not just support, but also comfort, dignity, and opportunities for residents to enjoy fulfilling, happy lives.
